Erin Cross is an educator, business coach, author and singer/songwriter in Chicago, Illinois. Erin received her Bachelor of Music in Music Business from the University of Texas at Arlington and her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in EdTech from Louisiana State University at Shreveport. In 2017, Ms. Cross created Beatrice and the Beat, an interactive music educational resource that aims to create academic and cultural relevance for today’s young musician. The core values of Beatrice and the Beat are respect, discipline, technique, leadership, creativity, mastery, and cultural appreciation. In 2019, Ms. Cross published her first book, Beatrice Loves to Move, and began coaching other service industry professionals to use their skills and experience to launch their own businesses through the Key Factor. Currently, Erin has stepped away from the classroom to focus on her businesses fulltime providing online courses and face to face trainings.
Dawn Adams is the owner and CEO of The Training Ground, a leadership and learning consulting firm based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She is an executive and life coach, consultant and provides business coaching to small business owners and non-profit organizations to enable them to thrive. Although she has more than 25 years coaching and consulting for Fortune 500 organizations, Dawn’s true passion is enabling women to discover, claim and live out their life’s purpose. Dawn is trained and certified in a number of leadership and personal development tools including DISC Profile, Personality Assessment Facilitator, Emotional Intelligence, Motivators, Rogers and The Color Code, Leadership Practices Inventory, Neuro Linguistic Programming Coach/Practitioner, and Certified Hypnotherapist. She holds a BS in Communications from Texas Wesleyan University, a Master of Science Human Resource & Training from Amberton University and a number of other certifications including SHRM-Senior Certified Professional and Certified Professional Project Manager. Dawn spends her non-coaching and consulting time focused on her family and being Nana to her grandson, as well as traveling and writing.
LaTonya, TX native and HBCU graduate has a B.S. in Business Administration from Johnson C. Smith University and MBA from Texas Woman’s University. She believes in the importance of helping people find their place at work as well as in ministry and loves helping people connect on their journey. Throughout her career, she has been an advocate for building bridges across teams both internally and externally. She thrives on highlighting skills to help people see potential and opportunities where they may not have seen them before. LaTonya has always been a DEI advocate in her career and her previous roles have led her to her current seat within a global wealth management firm. As a Lead Sourcing Strategist, she helps candidates find the right role that could impact their lives and their community for the better. In her free time, LaTonya enjoys spending time with her family creating memories, traveling and trying new recipes. Most importantly, she enjoys her time alone to refresh and restore.
Joy is a long time Texas transplant. She has lived overseas and in different cities throughout the United States. Her passion is to empower others to discover their purpose and live their best lives. She loves coaching others to establish goals to create a vision and make their dreams a reality. Joy holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Human Resources and Training. She is a certified DEI trainer and facilitator. Joy loves curriculum design and finding ways to develop others’ knowledge and skills. With over 25 years of training and facilitation, Joy has extensive experience in Leadership, Early Education, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion facilitation and training. As as a speaker, she has presented at local, state, and national conferences. Joy has over 15 years of planning and executing conferences and large meetings. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with and catering to her village of family and friends. She loves to travel and cook extravagant meals. When she finds a good book, it's hard to pull her away, often finishing in one day.
Racquel Washington, CEO of Care First Consulting. She has over 30 years of experience leading and advising for-profit and non-profit and faith-based programs in the early childhood education industry. She provides coaching and mentoring for center staff through every step of the accreditation process (NAC, NECPA & NAEYC), in-person and remote training, guidance & observations. I assist directors and owners with new center startups, including application, assessment of location, and business training. As a Professional Development Specialist, she conducts CDA observation for candidates seeking their CDA Credentials. She is the T.E.A.C.H. Advisory Committee Chair for the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children (TXAEYC). Past president of Texas AEYC and past Co-President of Dallas AEYC, Racquel has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of North Texas, a Master of Science Early Childhood Education from Texas A&M University and is a Doctoral Candidate at Texas A & M University-Commerce. Racquel has served the DFW community for more than 29 years and is a Lifetime Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
